Deals keep coming..Wolfpack acquire Andy McDonald

Toronto, ON). It appears the Toronto roster will never stop turnover this year as another deal has come down the Pike. Toronto sent steady defender Rusty Klesla and backup goalie Andrew Raycroft to the Boston Beanpots for scoring center/LW Andy McDonald. The deal adds to the Wolfpack center depth which is in flux for next season with injuries potentially on the horizon to Modano and Lombardi and the expiring contract of Mike Fisher.

Coach O'Reilly said," hey what can I do, I mix and match the lines the best I can. We have plenty of talent here, it is just getting the right mix on our forward lines. We look at next year with Danny, Derrick, and Andy in the mix, and Sami in the checking role and we feel pretty good."

GM Thom Welch said, " GM Ken Danila offered a bigger deal but we were mostly interested in Andy. He will fill a role on our top lines, and has the flexibility to play LW. It adds salary to our bottom line, but we are in good shape financially."

Who knows what is next for the Wolfpack, but they appear set for the future and may compete yet for a playoff spot this year. Kovalchuk is in the rumor mill as usual, but he is also a main cog to the team, it would be a surprise if he was moved. Then again maybe not....
