Toronto Finds Jagr Replacement

Today Toronto added offense for the recently traded Jaromir Jagr acquiring David Vyborny from the Boston Beanpots for Henri Tallinder and Kurtis Foster. This deal provides Toronto with a solid top six forward who plays solid offense, and in Mr. Vyborny's case, a tight checking game. Toronto GM indicated the following," we have always coveted David's game in Boston and have inquired in the past. With the recent trade of Jagr we contacted Boston GM Ken Danila again to see if we could match up. The price was steep as Boston acquires a top 4 defender in Tallinder and possible powerplay QB Foster. However, we fill a top 6 forward slot we needed from the recent Jagr deal. Boston also acquires NWE 2007 #3 pick and we receive and '09 4th round selection".
Welch added, "with this deal our defense is weakened, however discussions are on-going with other western conference teams to bolster the backend".
