Miller Brothers Together In London

London(CP) - The Werewolves traded for Ryan Miller, brother of Drew earlier this week announced Mark Wendling owner of the Werewolves.

"We have wanted to have Ryan here for many years, but it never worked out. Finally today he is here."

"I am disappointed that I was traded from Philadelphia after they signed me as a Restricted Free Agent in the off season, and that the Bulls were picked by many to win the Cup this year, but if I had to go anywhere I am glad it is where I can play with my brother. Mom and Dad are ecstatic. Drew and I have never been on the same team other than in some pickup games, so this is a real treat."

When asked if this was part of the same deal that had Paul Martin and Sammy Pahlsson trade teams, Wendling replied it was. "We couldn't make the deal at one time due to time frames as to when Marty signed with us as a free agent in the off season. Unfortunately Marty had that finger sprain while he was committed to go to Philadelphia. We could have put Justin in, but he is a kid and is not quite ready yet. Marty was ready to go the first game in Philadelphia."

When asked about the goaltender injuries the Werewolves have had Wendling answered. "I just don't know what is going on but it seems to be a reacurring issue every season. We went out and made sure we had the league maximum 4 goalies this year and we still may have ended up having issues had this deal not been done when it was. We have to find someone as a trainer that can work specifically with our goaltenders, so this will not happen in the future. We believe Ryan is that workhorse we need."

This has been one of the busier seasons in the trading department for the Werewolves. When asked if done the owner replied, "We have had talks, but they have been just that, and nothing is on the table currently. I don't like to get into specifics because these are peoples lives we deal with, and a trade on paper might be good, there is a lot of stress for the players. The key is we want to make the playoffs, and right now we would be in the playoffs as the 8th seed. That being said we are 2 points out of being the fifth seed, so things are tight and we need to play better to ensure we get a birth into the playoffs."
