London (CP) - The Werewolves of London announced today that they traded Sammy Pahlsson in a deal and recieved back defenseman Paul Martin. "We are very pleased to get Paul in this trade, he is a player that we have wanted for a number of years. We like that he can play big minutes and give us some more support on the blueline."
Owner Mark Wendling was asked about the recent comments about Robert Dumont (picture to the right of the article). "Yep I heard them and they made me laugh. In the 13 years I have been in the league our teams have made the playoffs 11 times. I know Boston under Ken and New York under different owners have done the same numbers, but not sure of any other franchise to post anything close to that. If we look at winning percentage, the only teams to have higher winning percentages than myself is Notre Dame, again multiple owners and the Suffolk Fox who have been in the league less time. Our record speaks for itself. Let me ask you this. In the past two seasons how many games as Dumass, sorry Dumont's team won? I think it is 6 out of over 100 games. Yeah brilliant ownership. He has been run out of how many cities? Yeah great guy. He is about as sharp as a bowling ball."
Wendling added an interesting comment at the end of the news conference. "See you guys in about 10 days" Does this mean there is another deal on the table? We shall soon find out.
