Toronto dips into UFA pool huge! Land Bergeron, Miller, and Gaborik

Toronto, ON). The unrestricted free agent period has come and gone in the HBMHL and the Toronto Wolfpack have land three big fish, center Patrice Bergeron, number one netminder Ryan Miller, and forward Marion Gaborik. These three players will be inserted into a lineup that includes a high powered 1st line of Niclas Backstrom, Alexander Ovechkin, and James Van Riemsdyk.

In addition to these major players added, Toronto also beefed up the checking and defensive positions by adding Brooks Laich.  Alex Hemsky, Brad Richards, and Mark Streit were signed to provide a different offensive dimension to the squad and spell relief for the younger players. These veterans can show them the ways of the league and how to grind out wins.

It appears this years squad is all in trying to go for the Cup. With several expiring contracts to major stars, next years squad is bound to be very different. Time will tell if this strategy will pay dividends.
