Is Coach Eddie Mio Next?

London (CP) - The conspiracy theorists here in London are convinced that there is a plot in place to ensure that the Werewolves do not repeat as champions. The team has seen goalie after goalie go down to injuries. With both Mannys down, Fernandez for the second time this year, and Legace for a month, the team went out and traded for little used Jussi Markkanen to help out. Then they went out and grabbed Marc Denis to help out after footing the bill to build Dan Cloutier a new mansion.

"We are going to get Mio to start bringing the pads to the games", stated coach Don Cherry. "In all my years of hockey I have never seen anything like it. The scary part is that 11 of our 12 losses have all come when we did not have our normal roster in place. When we are healthy, we are unbeatable, but once a player or two hits the sideline we become vulnerable."

GM Mark Wendling attempted to fix this last month when he picked up veterans Gary Roberts and Chris Chelios. Although Roberts has been seeing a regular shift, Chelios has only played in a couple games. "The press box has been tough for Chelios, but when we brought him we were honest, we told him he was here for depth, and the playoffs."

The Werewolves are looking to get their goalies healthy in a push for a long playoff run again this year.
