Kovalchuk pumps up the O in Toronto...Who will stop the puck??

Toronto, ON). Kovalchuk is settling in nicely with his new squad, putting up 4 goals and 4 assists in his first 5 contests. He is playing on the top line with veteran scoring wingers Henrik Zetterberg and Martin St. Louis. He is also seeing plenty of time on the powerplay, pushing the puck up ice with Nash and Jovo.

On the other end of the ice, Toronto is playing musical goalies with Rinne and Kipper getting a chance at the starter's nod, with neither taking the reigns fully. Both are playing average at best and rumors swirl Toronto is in the market for a top stopper for the remainder of the year. GM Thom Welch said, " we are baffled by our goalie play, but we believe we have an all-star squad that can beat anyone on a given night."

Rumors persist Toronto is in the market for a top netminder but do not want to dismantle their core units. Toronto does have their number one draft choice in the next two years which are possibly in play for a goalie. Welch has said however that he prefers a young goalie with at least a historical .910 save %.
